Happy Birthday Alex!

Got my PR yesterday! So happy to get her! She is even more glorious when you can handle her! Unfortunately, I can't start stitching on her until July 7th, that is when the contest starts! I will be working on her exclusively until I get her done! I'm so excited! I keep taking the chart out and looking at her! I need to take the chart and get a working copy made soon, I don't want to wait until July, because I might wait to long and I plan on starting at 12:01 am on the 7th!

Here are a couple of Egyptian patterns I want so badly! I found one and am able to buy it without buying the magazine, that one is the Cross Stitcher Tut Superchart! Boy, it's gorgeous! I saw that magazine one time at the bookstore here in town, but then I never saw any issues again! I really am thinking the UK magazines are much better! I still like Stoney Creek, mainly for the afghan patterns they have. I need to renew tho! The first picture is the Cross Stitcher Super chart, the other pic is of Cross Stitch Collection Egyptian Glory! Aren't they absolutely wonderful?


Well today was my son's 12th birthday! He went with me today so he could pick the bike he wanted. That is all he wanted this year. My dd and her bf got him one of those i-pod shuffle mp3 players, 1gb size! He really liked that one too! They just brought him an ice cream cake too! DD is going to take him shopping sometime next week when she has time off. His grandma (my mom) is taking him shopping and out to eat tomorrow! He loves nice clothes and since he has finally starting wearing size 8 finally (yes, he's a shrimp!), he could use some new ones. So he might actually start to grow some finally!

Stitcher's Heaven Yahoo group is doing pretty well! We have over 25 members now and they all seem to be enjoying themselves pretty well. We are having our first SAL on the 29th of this month, theme being mystical/mythical! We are also trying to get a word list ready for bingo! I'm going to try to come up with some prizes for the winner!

Totally awesome night last nite (or rather real early this morning)! Fatema and I decided to start our own Yahoo! group!! We got to talking about how some groups were so intolerant of others' beliefs and how some groups treat others so we decided to go in together and create our very own group! So here it is, our own slice of internet -Stitchers Heaven !! Anyone who visits my blog is more than welcome to come and join us! We are slowly growing and hope to be a fairly good size and have SALs and games as we get bigger!
Together we are going to create the best Yahoo! group ever! I just know it and maybe later we can add some can sale or trade board to it! The possibilities are endless! I just think it's totally awesome how 2 people from across the world (almost literally) can come together and create something. She is co-owner and moderator and she can work on the group while I sleep and I can do the same thing! Heaven know we each stay up late chatting to each other!!
Last nite, I didn't go to be until 3 am this morning, talking with her and setting it up! Almost immediately we had 2 new members and now we have 8! Yippee!!

Good Saturday Evening to everyone!

Good Saturday evening to everyone! I'm sitting here in a very cramped space because I have my laptop on my table, Bowie is beside the laptop and Rascal is trying to crawl on my lap under the table!! People are setting off fireworks outside and he's scared! Crazy dog! My legs are asleep because of him and he keeps trying to further and further under the table! Finally, I have to push him off the bed, because he is going to knock my laptop off!!

This is a picture of Bad Faerie, after 4 pages completed! That was my goal for the Yahoo group's challenge, and I met it a lot faster than I thought! But, gives me time to get more stitched before the end of the challenge!

Still waiting for OTR to get home, but Cindy emailed me today about my CC info, they lost it again! So I posted that back to her asap and she wrote me back saying everything was great now. So, hopefully it'll go out in Monday's mail and I'll get it next week!

Well, I have used up all my gcs I got and now I'm depressed about it! There is so much stuff out there I want!! Wish I could win the lottery! I'd buy it all and start my own LNS! My big dream! When I drive around town, I look at empty buildings and wonder if that would be a good place for a LNS! Is adequate parking, room, that kind of thing!! I found a couple of sites that would be wonderful! Too bad I can't do my dream!

for the new PR design to hit my mailbox! I went to the website today and noticed a link that wasn't there before. Laura has posted the rules! Unfortunately, the contest isn't going to start until July 7! Wow, too long to really wait, but wait I have to!
Also rules stated I need to send an email with my info, a floss toss pic, and make sure I show the originial chart pak! Also states we have to send wip pix often along with the time spent stitching up to that date. Also, have to make sure the back is clean as there is a back pic that is required. But I don't care, for the grand prize I can do all that!
Have sold some of my stash, not as much as I had hoped, but some. Some people have requested items but then I haven't heard any more from them. Will have to start stalking I guess.
Mailed off my package for secret exchange from the PR bb today too. Hope she likes the stash inside. I know I would.
We had a doozy of a storm early this morning. About 4 am or so according to dd and ds. They were both awake for some weird reason. DD was awake because the rain was blowing in her window and getting her wet! Love it when that happens! It's so funny.
Not much else to report. Have put a couple of my WIPs on hold for right now to get ready for the contest and to concentrate more on the other WIPs I have going. Tired of rotating so many designs, will stick to just a couple!

Stayed up til 3 am this morning talking to a lady from my Yahoo group. She lives in Sri Lanka and she was so scared because they had 2 bombings yesterday and the rumors were flying there would be another during the night! Now, she is about 11 hours ahead of me, so while she was up and wide awake, it was 1-3 am here! But we had a blast, talking about everything we could think of!
Unfortunately, I finally starting getting really tired so I had to tell her goodnite. Will probably chat with her again tonite!
Well, just wanted to brag I got my stash all sorted and pictures all taken and posted! Yeah for me!

Well, here is Bad Faerie after 3 pages completed! You can just begin to see her head now. It's really strange stitching these patterns; when you're stitching you can't really see the actual design, but when you take a break and step back to look at it, that's when you can see the actual image taking shape! It's a really strange yet neat way of stitching! I'm used to seeing the design take shape as I'm stitching, not having to take a step back to see it!

Well, made my first actual stash sell today! 4 PR charts and a L&L chart! Hopefully will get more sold in days to come! I really need to get rid of these charts and kits so I can have some room (and &) for more stash!

Basked in the wonderful sun yesterday and got a good tan going! It's so nice after 3 days of horrific storms. Power was going on and off for 2 days solid! I kept thinking we were going to lose it for sure, but just little blips (but real often!)

I have a HUGE branch in my back yard now though, need to get out and move it and cut the grass again! I swear, after all that rain, you can literally hear the grass growing. And since I have woods behind my house, lots of brush and trees, those blasted bugs are driving me insane! I have to turn my TV up real loud just to hear it over them! And they are leaving holes all over my back yard! Must be where they are laying eggs! If you look at the tree in the back yard, you can see hundreds of those little buggers just flying about making that infernal sound! Of course, the birds are having a field day, therefore my cats are having a field day with the very fat birds!! LOL

Stash is up for sale

Finally got my stash sorted and organized. I have over 50 kits, books and charts I need to get rid of. And I still have one more hidey hole to go thru! So will probably be more to list. I have posted my lists on some boards, but mostly just letting people know and if they want to see the list, I just email it to them. Some boards I can't post lists like that, don't know why. I do have a few items that are pending already. I really need to get rid of this stuff! I have no room, plus this would enable to purchase more stash! Yeah!
Quick change of subject, wow, today was a bad weather day. Couldn't even watch TV because the EAS kept coming up! Tornado warnings all day long (until 1 am) and severe thunderstorm warnings all day too. We got clipped by a big one earlier today and it went on to give the DC area a huge headache. Another big one just passed us and it was a doozy! Lights flickered several times and I thought for sure we were going to blackout, but it stayed on. Then the rain! Wow, couldn't even see across the street, curtains were blowing straight out and my dining room got soaked before I shut the windows. It was a long day! Dogs and cats going crazy because of the weather, dh coming home griping about his job, kids screaming because they can't go outside and get rid of their energy! And school is out in 2 days! AUUGGHH!!
Well, stitching news, worked on Bad Faerie today. Have totally completed page 2 and just have the black hair to stitch on page 3. Probably will get that done tomorrow and start on page 4! I just put 4 pages down for my Mystic Stitch challenge and looks like will meet that well before challenge ends.
PTP informed me my fabric is in the mail! Yippee! Now I just have to wait until the shipment of PR hits ECC! Then my pattern will be coming! I have everything I need! Usually I get the pattern first and sit on it for a while before I get all the fabric and bling, but not this one! I really hope to be the first to send a completed pic so I can win the 4 charts and Venus threads Laura is giving away! That will be so cool!

Dragon Carousel

Got my stash sale up and running now! Over 50 kits, books and charts! And I still have one more place to search for more stash. I have a lot of stash. Of course, I'm not selling all of it, just the pieces I don't want or need anymore.

We had a doozy of a storm a little bit ago. Had to close my window because the rain was pouring in! Supposed to be getting some more tonite. My baby doesn't like thunder too much. He comes over and lies down right beside me. I don't know if he is protecting me or scared. He doesn't act scared, so I think he is guarding me.
Didn't get any stitching done today because I've spent most of the day either sorting thru stash or typing up what I am selling. Want to stitch some, but tired and sore. Plus getting close to bedtme for me tonite.

Getting ready!

I think I have everything ready for my stash sale! So far I have over 50 kits, charts and books! Wow, that is some serious stash. Didn't realize I had that much stash. Most people hoard fabrics, but since I just order what I need, then I guess I don't have much fabric stash.
I still have one more place to check and then I will have them all listed. Whew! what a job that is. Before I could get together my stash list, I had to clean out my cubby hole/crawl space. That took over 2 hours to do and my garbage men are going to hate me this week again. They always grumble when I am spring cleaning. LOL!
I got rid of 4 bags of trash and some really really old crap that was in there. Now I have loads of room to store more crap! Just following George Carlin's theory!
I have been working quite a bit on Bad Faerie and have finished 2 pages and almost 3! She is beginning to take shape. You can see the tips of one wing and the top of her head. Thank goodness I stitched her on black Aida or I'd still be stitching just black thread!
I have completed the first page on Dragon Carousel and put the beads on that section. Looks very good if I say so myself!
